Leadership

Anti-Defamation League

From a very young age, I have been passionate about social justice and human rights. My grandparents, who were Holocaust survivors, taught me early that what was done to them could never be repeated and they used platforms available to them to advocate that message. I have chosen to continue that mission, and push it beyond my own people to be an ally to all marginalized groups by working with the ADL. In 2021, I graduated from their Glass Leadership Institute, and joined their Next Generation Board. I hope to contribute as a Product Manager to their Hate Detection product that utilizes machine learning to flag hate speech on social media outlets and provide “Grades” to tech giants to hold them accountable for hate and misinformation.

Women in Tech & Ada Lovelace Awards

I am passionate about celebrating women who have overcome the existing obstacles we face in our industry. I served on the New Orleans Women in Tech board for three years, planning over 20 workshops and networking events and connecting women with job opportunities.

At the 2017 Ada Lovelace Awards for Women in Tech, I was honored to speak as a community WIT leader, and as a nominee in the Software Engineer category. I am active in the movement to achieve equity for all genders in technology and beyond.

Product & Project Management Educator

In early 2018, I collaborated with another Product Manager to compile the curriculum for a course on Product Management for MBA students at Loyola University. I led a class to to cover topics such as project management methodologies, Agile roles, SCRUM ceremonies, and user-testing. On the last day of their course, I served as a panelist to judge the students' product pitches and how they applied what the course had taught them, contributing to their final grade.

In 2016, I also led a workshop for New Orleans Women in Tech on Product & Project Management. We covered similar topics, and I led group activities for attendees to "create" a product and present.
