Sift
A Detroit-based company specializing in increasing employee engagement, Sift worked with LookFar to build native iOS and Android apps to complement their existing web application. Sift’s mobile apps—developed in Swift and Java utilizing Sift’s existing web API—allow employees at all levels to search for and connect with their colleagues based on interests, skills, team, and more.
Sift was started by VFA graduate, Sean Jackson, who has achieved start-up success in many ways, not limited to creating this platform of products used by Fortune 500 companies, including Quicken Loans, and building out an internal product support and development team.

Product Management Milestones:
- Ran cost-benefit analysis of using Native languages or a platform such as Xamarin to achieve two apps within the timeline and budget
- Collaborated continuously with Sift's development and product team to define the product's mobile design for both Android and iOS
- Coached Sift's Product Manager and CTO on the uses of JIRA for their new and more structured Agile SCRUM processes
- Integrated the Sift team into our JIRA instance, and led bi-weekly grooming sessions to co-create user stories, acceptance criteria, and set priority
